Hi there, my name is Denise and I have been an Oriflame Consultant since 2015 and made Group Manager in 2016.

Why did I choose Oriflame? I tried another MLM company before Oriflame and floundered through the first couple of months not really understanding how to market the products properly.

My upline was sending us pictures to use and we were told to join as many Facebook selling groups as possible and advertise morning, noon and night in them. All well and good if you could be on your laptop/phone pretty much every minute of the day.

After several months with this other company I was starting to lose faith in it. I couldn’t afford the products to try them out for myself. There were no samples available to send customers – you had to buy them from other consultants, thereby funding their profits from sales, yet making no profit yourself. Lastly, nearly every Facebook selling group I had joined was inundated with other people selling the same products, using the same pictures and same sales pitches.

My upline had asked me did I want to join her in another MLM company – Oriflame. After having a look at their products, I figured it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. It was free to sign-up, there were samples available for me to try myself and to send my customers. At first I struggled because I didn’t know what I was doing or how Oriflame actually worked and had no support so I didn’t really put an awful lot of energy or effort into it.

Fast Forward to July 2015 and I realised that my maternity pay was going to be nowhere near as much as my wages, so I needed to try and earn some extra cash. I contacted our Regional Manager (my Upline had pretty much vanished) and explained I had no idea what I was doing. She was a huge help and slowly but surely I built my customer base and group.

Sure, I made mistakes. That was inevitable because I was pretty much learning as I went. I didn’t know about distributing catalogues. I didn’t know about Oriflame’s Welcome Programme. I didn’t know how to recruit people. So I asked lots and lots of questions and this is now something I encourage my team to do. There are no stupid questions.

The one question I find most people ask me is how much of my own money have I spent building my business. I always answer honestly – nothing. How? Well,  every penny I first earned went straight back into buying demo products that I was interested in using myself and getting the small starter packs as I needed them. When I was promoted to Group Manager, I used some of the money I earned from that to buy more products to use as customer freebies etc.

Is it easy? No, but it is worth it. You need to have drive and lots of determination! I used to hate having my photo taken, these days I take selfies everytime I use a new product. I even recorded a video to share in my group.

Now I have my own small but growing team of determined Ladies who have their own reasons for choosing Oriflame and I couldn’t wish for a better team.
